When appointments are available a notice is sent out in the weekly base newsletter through email to all active duty personnel routine eye appointments are available for booking at any time at RAF Lakenheath. A referral is not required to make an appointment at RAF Lakenheath for a routine eye exam. What should I bring to my appointment?
For routine eye exams, patients need to bring in their current glasses or a copy of their old prescription.
What services does the Optometry Clinic provide?
The Optometry Clinic provides treatment for comprehensive eye diseases such as glaucoma, and cataracts. The clinic also performs Diabetic Retinal Exams, color vision screening and driver license exams.
When should children get optometry examinations?
TRICARE pays for one routine eye screening each year after six years of age. Only TRICARE Prime patients can obtain off base optometry referrals. This can be done by contacting your primary care manager.
